Programmers broke down the various parts and designated part numbers, then made specific drawings and presented them to the art director for verification of form and function. Timing was critical — with the print delivered Friday evening, Elge was given a one-week deadline. The CNC department took the challenge head-on, producing the 10 different components for the project, with videos and pictures sent to the client daily to show progress. The art director was amazed at the accuracy, timeliness, finish, and overall quality of the finished project — Elge “saved the day,” and the resulting CNC machining work played a featured role on Broadway.
