Our screw machining services at Elge Precision Machining, Inc. provide customers with an onshore source for precision, premium quality turned components at competitive prices. We have both single-spindle Brown and Sharpe and multi-spindle Davenport screw machines as well as an extensive inventory of machining tools. Machining capabilities include drilling, tapping, broaching, knurling, and threading rolling. Screw machining is most cost effective at production volumes approaching 300 for single-spindle equipment and 2,500 for multi-spindle machines. Screw machines produce parts with very fast cycle times, making it very efficient for high volume production.
A full calibration program ensures that all measurement equipment is accurate. Parts can be deburred, heat treated, and plated to customer specifications. Optical comparators and other metrology tools can be used to perform dimensional inspections as required. Although our range of equipment adds to our versatility, it is our people who make the difference. Creating precision components while holding tolerances as tight as ±0.001” requires knowledge, experience, and dedication.
